What is the best way to farm TH14?

Push or farm?

While th14 is already about a month old, if you’re anything like me, you still have a LONG way to go before maxing it out. This is why farming seems to be everyone’s favourite pastime right now.

Something that there’s a lot of debate over is whether it’s best to push farm in Legends or to drop down. Well, I’m going to try my best to answer that for you here. Read on to see pros and cons of each option.

Farm in Legends

I’ll start by saying that this is absolutely my preferred farming method. Not only do you get zero clouds, guaranteed loot (500-600k gold/elixir and 5k dark), but because of the nature of legends league, you don’t lose ANY of your loot on defense! Pair that with the incredibly juicy league bonus in legends, it seems like a no brainer, right?

While there are some pretty tempting positives to this method, including getting to flex that shiny purple badge, there is one HUGE negative… You only get 8 attacks per day. This can be very limiting when you’re racing to max out that th14 before the rest of your clan mates and can leave you twiddling your thumbs until the next day before you can continue farming.

Dropping to farm your TH14

Since TH14 was released, you’ll see the leader board looking significantly different to pre-update. This is because a ton of top pushers and pro players have chosen to drop down to gold league farm.

The main perk of this style of farming is that you can hit as many times as you want each day. This could theoretically allow you to max out your storages a limitless amount of times and keep those upgrades rolling without having to see your builders napping outside their huts.

I know what you’re thinking… why would I not just do this then? Well, alongside this method giving you the total opposite of the positives you get from legends farming, it is also very time consuming. When I say very time consuming, I mean VERY time consuming. Want to take an afternoon nap (one of my favourite things to do)? Well you’d better be prepared to set an alarm to wake yourself up again before that guard runs out or risk losing your hard earned resources.

So, how should I farm my TH14?

Well, this depends. If like me, your time is precious and you’re juggling everyday life, work and sleep with clash then I’d probably recommend Legends farming at TH14. This will allow you to casually farm while gaining a steady amount of loot.

If “Clash is Life” is your motto, then perhaps dropping to farm you TH14 would suit you best. While some may find the rinse and repeat method of farming pretty boring, it can be rewarding if you find the mother of all whales. Not many feelings better in clash than taking 1 million gold and elixir from a single barch hit!
